I have TP running the modem and I have a remote PC using Wingate to
surf/IRC. To get mail remotely you need to download the version of TP
that includes the Workstation install from the Demon website. For more
than one person to read mail simultaneously you need to get a multi-user
key for TP. You can buy this from the Demon corporate sales Department.
What I have never achieved is a way of getting TP to connect remotely.
Connect needs to be run from the machine with the modem. The modem can
be hung up remotely. Theoretically it should be possible to get Wingate
to remote dial using DUN but that will not get Turnpike to collect mail
for you.
You could use something like TP Assistant to connect and download mail
once an hour automatically and use the Wingate/DUN combination to
connect when you want to browse.

At the moment we can all check mail simultaneously and we can browse
simultaneously. What I want is the ability to be able to check mail while I
am connected to the web via Wingate. i.e. for Turnpike and Wingate to use
the same DUN connection.

That is exactly what I do with the setup I described. If Tp is connected
Wingate will provide access to the internet for all connected machines.
Wingate doesn't need to do the connecting.
This is just what I would like to do.
Would someone point me in the right direction for setting Wingate up
please?

and no, this is not a joke but serious advice. Anyone running WinGate
who has not read this CERT document should immediately do so.

I use the latest version which sets itself up.
