I have cross-posted this to demon.ip.support.archimedes as I know they
do monitor their support newsgroups. In fact the whole of this thread
could usefully be on that newsgroup.

My problem has been that I cannot log on to the surf-time number during
the early evening, presumably hitting a u/s modem. Anyone else
experiencing this? (A bit of a waste of the surf-time sub.)

I have extreme trouble logging-on during the evening, but I put that
down to all of Demon's modems being busy. If I try for long enough I
do eventually get through, but sometimes it takes so many attempts
that my modem blacklists the number.

I have no problems at all connecting in the evening using the surftime
number and I'm using a Zoltrix 56k modem

No problems here during the day or evening on the G5 number, you need to
have a look on demon.service as there have been lots of reports of these
sorts of problems on there.
