When this service was first introduced in 1998, there were postings on this
site which indicated ArcFax would display them, but I am unable to get this
to work.
If I drop the TIFF into the RXBatch directory, and then open RXBatch from
the iconbar menu the TIFF I have dropped into it does not appear. Since if
I copy an existing TIFF (which does appear) the copy does not appear either,
I assume there must be some register of what faxes should be in the RXBatch,
but I cannot find one.
Can anybody assist me please.

Image Master from David Pilling works very well at viewing DFAXs.

ArcFax (1.17) will display the files.
Instead of dropping them into the RXBatch directory and then opening RXBatch
from the iconbar menu, you should just open RXBatch from the iconbar menu and
drop the files into the RXBatch window. This will add the files and also copy
them into the directory.
The files may then be viewed by double clicking in the usual fashion.

ImageMaster by David Pilling handles TIFFs. I bought it for the same
purpose as you mention: To view TIFF files received as attachments
of emails from Demon's DFax service. It has always worked for me.

There should be a witty signature here, but I haven't got round to it yet!

Thanks for the advice on how to get the files displayed in the RX window.
How did you get ArcFax 1.17? According to David Pilling's website 1.16 is
the latest version, and that just gives an error message when I try to
display the fax.
