I used to have socketeer connect on a timer, and it worked like
clockwork, now it fails to connect more often than not. It usually
times out on authorise, and negotiate takes quite a long time too.
Same is true when connecting manually, very unreliable, regardless of
time of day, number (surftime or local rate) etc.
I notice that a windows box dialing in via the same modem is vastly
quicker at connecting. Makes me suspicious.
I have an RPC SA110, 56K modem, Socketeer and Acorns TCP/IP stack.
Anybody else have similar problems.
Thanks,
Chris.
I often get a hang at Authorise.
In my experience it seems to be a problem only when using Socketeer.
Whenever I use !TCPIP/TTFN I never ever have a problem.
