The following is one that has just come from SmartGroups. Note that it
"has not been collected after 4294967295 days".
I have had another one, with message number 1997 not collected "after
4294967295 days". Same number of days. Was the world created then,
even?
Thoughts, anyone? (If anyone still subscribes to this newsgroup, of
course.)

Yes it's been bouncing all over the place. I had a bounce warning
from the Messenger-L list yesterday, and if you wander over to
demon.service you'll see more than a few threads about mail problems
(if you can spot them inamongst the mountain of postings about poor
Usenet performance, natch).

Sorry for the delayed response. News postings can be a bit slow reaching

You can't prove computers weren't around 11 million years ago, just as
you can't prove 'alien' life _doesn't_ exist.
OT - can ADSL be used with RISCOS ? or is it a PC/Mac only choice ATM ?

Fair enough. I guess csa.apps/hardware/misc is the place to ask.

Sorry. I can't help on that.

Demon seems to be running into the ground at the moment. I don't know
anything about the Ant suite, I'm afraid, but you could see whether Justin
Fletcher's JFinger (on http://www.movspclr.co.uk/) can help you. It works
fine for me (with Socketeer, etc.)

Just noticed this thread.
I too am sufering this problem. I know my ISDN line to give me
no end of grief eg. I can't upload more than a few K before it
stalls. I don't know whether it's the router or my net card.
I was uncertain of whether the finger problem began when I installed
RISC OS Select.
Have you got anywhere with this problem?
Roger.
