I have had a number of complaints from people who say that I haven't
updated my pages when I have, I then tell 'em to press the refresh
button and its all OK until next time (my own browser, IE 3.02, does
this too but I have the benefit of knowing that the page has changed).
I'm pretty sure that what's happening is that their browser is taking
pages out of their cache rather than getting the page from the web
server.
So the question is, is there any HTML I can add to a page that will
force it to be reloaded, or more realistically not be kept in the cache
in the first place, or only for a certain period of time.
I have something similar in mind to:
<meta name="revisit-after" content="7 Days">
Any related advice on this topic would be appreciated.
