Cheap external scsi MO / magneto optical drive (or maybe 2) wanted to
buy, personal collection London only though may consider easily
accessible (by public transport) adjoining areas.

Prefer Maxoptix mechanism over Sony, perhaps T4-2600 / T5 / T6 or for
very cheap price T3 full or half height drive.

Must be CHEAP i.e under gbp50 as most of these drives now have lasers
that are failing or about to at least for write operations so I am
factoring in a potential gbp250-300 optical repair as has happened on a
prior occasion or two (which is why I am not bidding on buy it now or
best offer auctions for these on ebay).

Also want grey or clear plastic interlocking / stackable slider cases
for 5.25" mo disks, about 40 pieces.

Munged address, remove .invalid to reply by mail.

I have the following. These aren't empty cases - they're reversible and
have disks fixed inside. I believe they are all 640Mb. They used to
work, but the drive which wrote them is long gone.

Sony EDM-1DA1 CAV 512byte/sector
Sony EDM-650B 650M 1024byte/sector. new and shrinkwrapped
HP 92280A 1024 byte/sector
3M Rewritable Optical Disk 1024

I know all these worked when last used (except the Sony EDM-650, which
is still sealed.) All but one have some sort of case (plastic cardboard,
etc.)

Any interest? mike AT jasper DOT org DOT uk

Beer money will be fine.
