Volunteers needed! URGENT!!!

Democrats of Hill County needs volunteers for the following:

1. Set up our booth for Whitney Pioneer Days this Saturday, October
3rd. Our booth will be #77 on Washington Street. Set up must be
completed by 9 am. Vehicles must be out of the area by 8. Volunteers
need to arrive by 8 am for set up.

2. Attend the booth, hand out candy, balloons, flyers, favors, and
register voters. If you haven’t officially signed up to be a voter
registrar you can go see Patsy Damschen downstairs in the courthouse.
She’ll swear you in and give you a receipt book and voter registration
cards.

3. Decorate and ride the float. Line up for parade entries will begin
at 1pm at the intermediate school on San Jacinto. Volunteers should
arrive at noon to decorate. The float should be easier to decorate
this time, but we’ll need volunteers to fill the helium balloons and
hang skirting and signs on the float and to throw candy and beads to
spectators. Kids are needed and welcome!

4. CANDY!!! We need everyone to bring CANDY for the booth and the
parade. You can drop your candy off at the booth any time before noon
or you can give it to Kendall or anyone else you know will be
attending as a volunteer.

5. Tear down the booth.

6. Take home or deliver signs, box of supplies, 8 foot table, and pop
up tent to Henry Moore’s house after the event. I will pick these
items up from your house on Monday or from Henry’s house next week.
