DJL meeting on 'Nagarik' issue: August 19, 12.00 noon, Sriram Centre, Mandi House

You are aware of the recent case related to a fortnightly newspaper
Nagarik published since last 10 years from Uttarakhand. This is a
strange case of states' assault on not only freedom of expression, but
on the freedom of reading.

We had recently posted an appeal from the publication as well as the
letters from some readers. This is a serious matter in fact and we
must raise our collective voice against this kind of repression by the
state. We propose to hold a program possibly in the coming week on
this issue.

For the program, it is imperative to sit together and discuss on the
format. DJL expects your presence for this preparatory meeting to be
held tomorrow i.e. August 19th, at 12.00 noon in Sriram Centre
cafetaria, Mandi House, New Delhi.

Hope that as a member of DJL community, you will certainly come
tomorrow !
