Those of you who have contributed to keeping DemocracyNow! on the air at channelAustin should feel good about doing their part in preventing consolidation of the media. A quote from Amy:
"Decentralization of the media is very important because it brings out the beauty, the diversity of voices all over the country and around the world. All of the issues that people deal with: war and peace, the environment, inequalities – these challenge all of us, but there’s hope because when we work together, when we ensure that people’s voices are heard, I really do think that we can fight for a more equal, a more fair, just world. We just have to pay attention and we have to work together. It can’t be done alone. "
