DemocracyNow! Fall Series

After a bit of waffling this spring I decided to try for one last series of DemocracyNow on Austin Public, Austin's public access cable TV channel. I managed to raise some money for series fees through the GoGetFunding site, but not very much.

 I've not really managed to connect with a support base for the show. The lack of dependability in airing the show has been a factor. At least one supporter withdrew for that reason. Austin Public has a small staff and I think its hours don't always make it possible to monitor the show.

My guess is that many people choose to watch the streaming show available in other ways.

I don't want the show to disappear without notice during the election period; so I plan to make up the remainder of the funding through the fall season, which ends in December. If someone else steps up I will be delighted, but this is my last hurrah. My heartfelt thanks to all who have contributed over the last seven years.

Nancy — Brenda and I want to stay in on this as long as it helps put Amy on the air on local cable. Are we paid up thru the election now? If so, what would it take for us to reimburse you half of that? 

Or: If more is still needed, how much would that be?
