2016 Summer Series may be the last?

After 7 years of being the local producer for DemocracyNow, I am stepping down. It has been an honor to be a part of making this wonderful show available to Austin through our Austin public access TV station, now known as Austin Public and managed by the Austin Film Society. It's not a difficult job, but I've found that age has a way of shrinking one's time, energy and money.

I want to thank everyone who has contributed funds for this over the years. You know who you are, and have preferred to remain anonymous. Most of you now watch the show online or through another venue, such as Roku, dishtv, etc.

I have no idea how many cable channel 16 viewers there are in Austin. I hope one or more of them will step up and take over. If you or anyone you know is willing, let me know, or contact Doug Gray, Austin Public Access Station Manager, do...@austinfilm.org. I'll be glad to help anyone who is interested in doing this learn the ropes.
