Hi all,

I can't even begin to express my excitement. This is - to me - by far
the best event/initiative I've seen happening in Dubai.

Baher has done an amazing job setting up the initial "web stuff".

Here are a couple of suggestions to enhance the website content:

1) Since it it the first event of its kind in the region, it is
probably worth developing more the About section. It is a great
opportunity for growing talents to showcase their work and share it
with professionals, so they need to understand better the background
of the event and its purpose. It might even be a god idea to mention
that is was inspired by the global event, and talk about the influence
this event has on the lives of aspiring developers nowadays.

2) Technically, we are catering to three different target audiences:
a- The developers/entrepreneurs
b- The attendees
c- Potential sponsors

We should maybe add a contact section, which lists three different
points of contacts and email addresses (For example:
De...@democamdubai.org, Atte...@democampdubai.org and
Spon...@democapdubai.org). It will be easier for the users to direct
their questions/comments and it will also be helpful on an
organizational point of view (to keep track of all the interested
people)

3) The first thing that people will be looking for is the date and
place of the event. It might be a good idea to create a permanent
widget on the right navigation side of the site (jpeg) featuring this
information at all time.

4) We have to keep in mind that sponsors will ask for specific
information that is not available at the time on the site. The event
organizers should probably be featured somewhere on the site, for
credibility purposes (maybe under the About section): a quick list and
short bio is more than enough.
It might also be a good idea to prepare some kind of a presentation
about the Dubai DemoCamp that can be sent to potential investors (A
couple of slides stating the background and purpose of the event).

That's what I can think of so far.
Feedback please? :)

Hey Stephanie,

Thanks for the great support, it's great to have you onboard :)

Your feedback is extremely valuable and quite comprehensive, as for your suggestions:

1- I quickly came up with something to update the "About" page, please take a look and feed me back your corrections/comments.

2- I discussed that with Cloves of SpinBits, and we think its makes more sense to have a general email ID for enquiries (in...@democampdubai.org) and a special one for sponsorship offers (spon...@democampdubai.org) since that kind of discussion is of sensitive nature, the email will be shared with the active community members involved in organization efforts.

3- Added a "Next Event" component for date/venue, and btw. that's a great suggestion.

4- Being of an open community-driven nature, there will be no set group of organizers, but more of a collaborative effort between all active community members each occasion, I would be more than happy to start a small presentation about DemoCamp and share it with all of you to collaboratively finish it and help us get sponsors in future events.

Thanks again for the feedback and if you have any more ideas please write back.
