I don't know if anyone else was facing this problem, but my iPhone 12 mini was overheating like crazy and there were no alerts that it was too hot or anything. 2 days ago it overheated to the point where the screen stopped working (I placed it in a bag on a table and it was left in the sun for 10 min, started overheating in a closed bag). At first, it was just the bottom of the screen that didn't work but then it spread to the top until the whole screen was not functional. I left it at my desk in my room and was woken up by alarms that are set for every day on that same phone. By the morning, not only was the screen unfunctional, but the whole screen turned black and you couldn't do anything but still charge normally and you get messages like it's working. I don't know what to do with it and locals told me that it's not worth saving, but if someone knows what might happened to it and how to make any use of it I would be thankful.
I am using 12 mini, having the same issue of over heating, Its getting overheat within 2 or 3 minutes like ****, can't touch the phone. when i disconect the data connection, its gets cool. done factory reset, erased data, but no changed in overheating problem. Can apple help?
i too face the same issue my iphone 12 mini is getting heated for no reason i don't no y even if surf flipkart or if i watch youtube for more than 15 mins my phone gets heated up can u please give me some suggestion on this issue
I am having similar issues. My iphone 12 mini's screen randomly turns partly black with some red coloring. I also have issues with it getting too hot. Every time I charge it in my car, when I connect to CarPlay, I eventually receive a message saying that charging is on hold because it is too hot. I tested this with other iphones (not iphone 12 minis) and that never happens. And that happens when I use the cable to connect, if I use the wireless charging system my car has then forget about it. It gets so hot it becomes unusable. I tried it both with and without my case to see if that could've been affecting it and I would get the same result. Yet everyone else I tested it with that have non-iphone 12 mini iphones had no issues at all.
Use iOS devices where the ambient temperature is between 0 and 35 C (32 to 95 F). Low- or high-temperature conditions might cause the device to change its behavior to regulate its temperature. Using an iOS device in very cold conditions outside of its operating range might temporarily shorten battery life and could cause the device to turn off. Battery life will return to normal when you bring the device back to higher ambient temperatures. Using an iOS device in very hot conditions can permanently shorten battery life.
its not about third party app, during phone update its gets overheat too. if its connects to 5g and its on idle mode, even then its gets overheat within 2 to 3 minutes like untouchable. I think its hardware issue like radio, proccessor or battery. when its disconected from data connection, its gets cool.
Battery drains so fast after ios 17.2.1 to 17.3 at iphone 12 mini, it was a nightmare at ios 17.2.1 about battery consumption, but now after 17.3 it waste battery even when screen is off, also background services closed, i can't understand why it is so inefficient after those upgrades, nobody knows how to fix it for real, my batt is at 85% life span, half morning use and running at 60% after 2 hours normal use, before should be at 80-85% use.
Here also a bad experience with the battery of my iPhone 13 with 100% battery health. I'm going to sleep 12pm with 100% battery and when I wake up at 8am it's at 92%. Before in this same situation I woke up with at least 98% often it is still at 100%. I was able to see now in iOS 17.3 that at night without any use what consumes the most energy by the graph is the "find my". Would he be the great villain of battery consumption?
After a forced reboot yesterday evening and a full charge in night, from this morning 7.00 am to now 10.30 am, with normal usage of (for me), battery is at 77% of charge. More or less a normal drain. Yesterday at this time battery was 35/40% in constant decreasing.
My shiny new iPhone 13 mini has apparent issues with jagged GPS tracks, consistently adding some 2-5% to the total route length. For an illustration, check out the two runs of mine: the first from August recorded with iPhone 8, and the second from October with 13 mini:
The two tracks are supposed to be identical, and the physical difference should not exceed 20 m. Yet, the first shows up as 5.10 km, and the second as 5.31 km (therefore, making me appear faster than I am ). If you zoom in, you can notice the recording **bleep**-zagging, while the track is of course perfectly smooth.
As a feature request idea, Strava could probably implement some route smoothing by default for estimating distances. At least for faster activities such as cycling and running, it should smooth out such pesky gremlins.
Hi Patrick, no its not fixed. For biking records look fine, but the forrest running records look still strange. I will try the reset GPS tomorrow, but i already think about to buy a Garmin watch as well
To troubleshoot this situation, please try turning your phone completely off and then on as well as turning your location services off and then on again. Location services are located in settings > privacy > location services (turn off/on).
1. Close all open apps on your phone.
2. Then go into settings and turn on airplane mode.
3. Next, go to settings > general > reset and choose reset network settings (you will need to re-enter your wifi passwords!)
4. Once your phone has reset, go to settings > location services. Turn this setting off and then on again.
5. Finally, go to settings > privacy > location services > system services and turn setting time zone OFF.
Why does the iPhone 13 mini take blurry close up photos? Doesn't seem to focus on text on a business card. My old 1st generation SE takes much better photos. Are there some settings that need to be adjusted? I can't find any troubleshooting tips that improve the situation.
My new iPhone 13 mini has two issues. Haptics will not stay shut off with the settings, and the camera won't focus on objects closer than 9 inches away. The camera is absolute garbage compared to my old SE.
Can you get in focus and sharp images on subjects at closer than 12cm? Could you post a sample please? My 13 mini doesn't focus on anything closer than that, and neither the 13 minis I've visited in three different showrooms!
Everything was working fine for months when all of the sudden I needed to charge my printer. I charged it no problem. However, since then I haven't been able to connect from the app to the printer. It finds the printer upon searching and when I try to connect it then says, it cannot. It goes into a loop and the white light on the mini printer blinks but will NOT connect on my app. I tried deleting the app, turning wifi on and off, I feel like I have tried everything I can think off but still is not connecting, its in a loop! Can someone help?
5. Please obtain a paper clip or something small such as that. Please turn your Ivy printer on and then insert the paper clip into the hole labeled "Reset". It is #5 in the image below. hen you insert the paper clip, you should feel a button depress inside the printer. Hold that button down for 4-5 seconds and then remove the paper clip from the hole
I have this same issue, except now when I go into the app and it pops up to choose a Bluetooth device, now the printer does not show up at all. I am also pretty sure my Ivy printer does not have a reset button??
