I have same issue. About 3 weeks ago, the video didnt work only netflix and youtube app. I shut down my phone. Unfortunately, it wasnt perfect solution. I also did reset all settings. It seemed to have solved problem completely, but I get same issue now. I want to know which thing occurs this problem, with apps or IOS? No matter what it is, it needs to be updated.
It will see it through the chromecast app, I can stream to it through youtube. BUt once I enter the netflix application and hit the chromecast button it does not see any chromecasts. Wierdly it does see a couple roku's and an xbox.
I've run into this exact weirdness on campus. Each of the past 5 chromecast setups were for someone using an iPhone and all 5 of them wouldn't work with Netflix, but Hulu, youtube, etc... everything else works. That and the Andriod Netflix for the same Chromecast works fine. Any chrome browser as well running netflix.
I spent time searching through every blocked airgroup service I could and still not sure. I'm surprised there doesn't seem to be more people with this issue. It works perfectly on an Andriod - and just fine for the students at home on the same two devices.
I editted my post until I could do some additional testing.. We just upgraded to ArubaOS 6.5.1.(4) from 6.4.3.(10) and IOS chromecast support has gotten worse. While I can still see the chromecast in Google Home, now I can't see it in YouTube where I could previously. I can cast from Chrome on MacOS and Windows, and Android can access it with all Apps, but nothing now from IOS. Does anyone have an active TAC call open on this or should I pursue it?
Lightning av adapter to HDMI no longer working after IOS16 update. Updated to current iOS 16.0.3 using Apple certified cord, turned off and on, phone is updated and backed up. It work until ios16. Another phone works, but not updated to the iOS16. For example Netflix mirrors from phone to tv and will play the trailer, but once I hit play the screen goes black and says now playing on your tv. But is not playing anything. How can I fix this issue? Thank you.
Not helpful at all. The update to IOS 16 is not compatible with the AV digital lightning plug. We full time RV and do not have WiFi. We depend on the AV plug adapter. We even bought a new one. My wife just purchased the new 14, she had s 6 which worked great. Our iPad worked great until we updated to the 16. Now nothing works. You all need to fix this and quick passing the buck to the other streaming platforms.
I called tech support and got to one of the higher-ups. He actually acknowledged it is an IOS 16 series software issue and that Apple is aware of it. Trouble is, he didn't give any specifics as to when it would be fixed or how. He thought probably through another IOS upgrade. Yikes !! Very maddening.
I am having the same issues with streaming Netflix, Prime Video, HBO Max, etc. I've upgraded to iOS 16.1 as well, without any successful "fix". I am using a certified Apple OEM lightning to HDMI adapter. I've attempted the use of all SIX of my certified Apple OEM lightning to HDMI dongles with zero success of each. Either I have a black screen on my TV with audio or I have no audio and a "stuttering" video display whereby the video plays in slow motion for a second then pauses, plays again in slow-mo for a second then pauses...and so forth. Currently ONE streaming apps worked successfully...Disney+. I find it a sickening shame that I've paid for six lightning to HDMI cables at the cost of nearly $50 each and the so called "much needed" updates fail to accommodate and keep useful purpose with an Apple designed and sold accessory.
My original issue was that the "Lightning Digital AV Adapter" stopped working for one specific iPhone (connecting via HDMI to a TV for screen mirroring and Fitness+ playback). The TV would not recognize any input, the same adapter worked with a different iPhone.
My wife and I sat down this evening to watch a Prime Video we had been looking forward to watching......could not use our lightning to HDMI adaptor since updating our phones to iOS 16.2-----unbelievable. I've spent hard earned money on cables and an official Apple adapter so we can mirror movies to our TV screen in the rural area we live. Everything has worked perfectly the last couple of years until updating our iPhones to the latest software. I've been a loyal Apple customer for over 35 years and this takes the cake. We are so disappointed in how this has been handled by Apple. There should have been an immediate update released to address this issue. Apparently we are one household out of many that are presently dealing with this issue. We also do a lot of traveling in our motor home and will not be able to mirror movies to our tv until this issue is fixed. Highly disappointed.
This is ridiculous advice. Both my adaptors worked perfectly with the equipment I have until I updated to IOS 16 and now neither works! Also tried them on 2 tv's so it is not anything that I can do to fix it. This is a major bug that apple needs to fix.
Holy THANK YOU for that comment. I live remote and have spent many hours and money trying to figure out what is wrong with my phone and/or device and Apple keeps blowing it off with aloof canned suggestions and responses that are totally not helpful but incredibly time taxing.
I have a similar problem...with most of my streaming apps. Using the lightning to HDMI adaptor works fine for screen mirroring, such as using google, or photos, static content, but not for video. I've read recently that there are quite a few people with similar issues. Most of my streaming apps play, but are choppy, and have no audio. It seems this happened after I upgraded to an iPhone 14, and ios16. Everything worked great previously, iPhone 11, ios15.7. Help?
The core gameplay of Hades is one of the best examples of one more run" in modern times. It never gets old as you slowly progress through the levels, working your way further into the game, defeating new bosses, meeting more NPCs, getting permanent upgrades, and learning more about the world and narrative as you understand the ins and outs of survival in the dangerous levels.
When it comes to roguelikes, you can have the most varied enemies, bosses, and the best visuals, but what sets Hades apart from the rest of the genre even more, is its slick fast-paced gameplay while dungeon crawling. Weapons, upgrades, strategizing on the go for how to build your character for that run, and more all play a part in how far you will reach.
I have zero complaints with the actual game on PC and modern consoles, and basically consider it perfect. It even has an accessibility mode that gives you a slight health boost on each death to make your progression easier through multiple runs. But how does it feel and look on mobile? I know the team has mentioned things like 60fps gameplay, customizable controls, controller support, and an uncompromised experience, but I needed to see it for myself.
I knew Hades would be great with a controller, but I specifically focused on playing it with touch controls. As with many games I cover, I found myself enjoying it with touch on the iPhone, but preferring a physical controller wirelessly on iPad. I used my Xbox Series X wireless controller and the 8BitDo I use to test and both worked perfectly. The game displays Xbox button prompts for both. With touch controls, I was surprised at how good they felt on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 14 Plus. I recommend resizing the interaction button though because the default is a bit too small.
Hades does have cloud saves on Netflix and I tested this over 12 times back and forth while playing Hades on my iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPad Pro. I only had one issue where there was a save conflict popup that got resolved by selecting the correct data. The syncing worked flawlessly outside that. I am disappointed to not be able to bring my Steam and Switch saves over since I play with syncing on both of those. Hopefully this can be considered for the future.
When it comes to Hades on PS5 and Xbox Series X, it has 4K 60fps support and a decent DualSense implementation. On Xbox it supported Quick Resume and had save syncing with the Windows version (non Steam) making it a good option for those who use that store. I ended up playing a lot more Hades on Xbox Series X with Quick Resume support though. None of them having cross save with Switch or Steam was disappointing.
As with other Netflix or Apple Arcade game reviews, the big caveat to the recommendation is that you need an active subscription to play the game in question. Just like with the GTA Trilogy, Hades is a killer app for Netflix, and one that is likely going to push people to subscribe to the service.
Starting yesterday, Netflix will load on all my devices but won't display any content or graphics or play any content. The problem occurs with Apple TV 4K, iPhone, iPad, and Sony Bravia TV. All other apps are working, and SpeedTest confirms I have Internet connectivity and sufficient bandwidth.
I finally got through to TM tech support last night. They concur that it's them, not Netflix. Everything else behaves normally, and the speed of my bandwidth is more than sufficient. In addition, if I turn off WiFi on my iPhone and use only cellular, Netflix behaves normally.
@wdsdFL , are your iPads and phones 3-5 years old? If so, you might want to add a separate SSID for 2.4Ghz with WPA/WPA2 version and maybe name the SSID iPads (or similar), then reboot and try to connect.
Eureka! As of yesterday morning (Feb. 19), everything is back to normal with Netflix on all my devices. Maintenance was done on my tower the previous evening, and I am trying to figure out what fixed it or if something was modified with Netflix or TMHI. In any case, it's back to normal.
