Dear Friends!
We are pleased to introduce ourselves as Nightingales Medical Trust (NMT), a registered public charity with the main objective of enhancing the quality of life of the elderly.
The Nightingales Elders Enrichment Centre (NEEC), a project of NMT was started in 1999, as a unique day care facility in Malleswaram for senior citizens who have to stay alone in their homes during the day time. The centre caters to the physical, emotional and social needs of the elders with need based facilities and services. The services are well utilized by a growing number of elders.
Besides providing various facilities, the Centre utilizes the talents and services of the members for conducting different community welfare programmes. The centre has adopted 16 remote villages off the Doddaballapur highway under the Rural Mobile Medicare Programme of the Trust where free medical aid is provided to elderly in the villages.
Every year, NEEC celebrates its annual day on the 12th December. On this occasion the members put up a very spirited, colourful and creative cultural show and entertain their fellow members as well as their family members and well wishers. The celebration also includes games and competitions. Over 300 elders and their families participate in the celebrations.
This year on 12th Dec,2009 the centre would be completing Ten years of service to the elderly and it is an occasion for special celebrations. The support and good will of all our well wishers has gone a long way in making this possible.
This year the tenth annual day of the centre would be celebrated in a memorable way. In addition to a colourful, unique cultural show, we would be releasing a special Souvenir to mark the ten years of service.
We have attached the invite along with this letter. It would mean a lot to us if you could be a part of our celebrations! You have been a part of this wonderful journey and helped Nightingales reach this milestone!!
