Dear Friends,

Greetings from Nightingales Centre for Ageing & Alzheimer's ! We are pleased to inform you that we are organizing a 5-Day “TRAINING PROGRAMME IN MANAGEMENT OF DEMENTIA” in association with National Institute of Social Defence, in Bangalore from 1st February, 2011 to 5th February, 2011

The aim of the training program is to build capacity of personnel managing geriatric care facilities, to understand, diagnose and manage persons suffering from Dementia.  The objectives of the training are to create awareness about dementia –its nature and its types, to educate on symptoms, early detection and early prevention, to train the trainers to spread awareness of dementia to the public, and to enhance the capacity & skills of care givers in managing elderly with Dementia.

You will be pleased to know that Nightingales Medical Trust has technical collaboration with Alzheimer’s Australia WA Ltd, a leading organization in Dementia Care globally.  A batch of trainers trained by them will be training the participants.  They will also be issued certification on completion of the assessment.

As you are involved with dementia care, we request you to depute one to two representatives from your organization/chapter for this training.

Kindly Note:    Free boarding & lodging will be provided for outstation candidates only.  The participants are also eligible for reimbursement of AC-III Tier railway fare on production of original ticket (shortest route taken into consideration).

The sanction order from NISD is expected shortly, so the reimbursable might take place following training.
