Being a mentor/judge for the UGA Hackathon is open to graduate students, too!

Hi all,

The Data Dawgs group is organizing the 3rd annual UGA Hackathon for this coming February 9 to 11, and they are looking for mentors and judges to be present throughout the event. You don't have to be there for all three days or even more than a few hours on a single day! The Hackathon is aimed at encouraging students of all skill levels to participate, so the role of mentors would be to help students formulate ideas, consider technical and logistical hurdles, and scope their projects. Judges would only need to be present near the end to evaluate the finished projects.

More information is here: http://ugahacks.com/

If you are interested in helping out, the volunteer sign-up is here: https://ugahacks2018.typeform.com/to/hh4Yky

Please pass this along departmental and unit listservs! Thank you!

Regards,
Shannon
