Hello all,

The winner for meeting times this semester Friday mornings at 10 AM to 11 AM, so that is the time we shall meet moving forward this semester.

First Spring 2018 meeting: February 2nd, 10 AM
Location: TBD

Tentatively we are going to try having bi-weekly meetings this semester if we can get enough speakers.
We strongly encourage you to put forth your speaker suggestions or pitch a presentation topic of your own!
If you would like to present on a deep learning topic or paper here is how we will move forward:

1. Select your deep learning related presentation topic or paper and let a committee member, Dr. Quinn and Dr. Liu know.

2. Once your topic/paper is approved, make your presentation and pass the slides and rough outline of what you want to talk about to Dr. Quinn, Dr. Liu and a committee member.

3. Once presentation is approved, select a date you would like to present this semester.

4. Dazzle us with your expertise and well researched presentation.

If you have any questions post here or email one of the professors or committee members and we'll answer as soon as possible.

Cheers,
Raj

Thanks Raj!

Lots of great papers out from NIPS on deep learning over a broad spectrum of topics (imaging, reinforcement learning, dimensionality reduction, semi-supervised learning, etc) that would be excellent papers for presentation in DELUG.
