CANCELED: DELUG meeting 2/16 (Friday)

DELUG members,

We have decided to cancel our meeting this coming Friday (2/16) as we continue to get the organization registered through the proper channels at UGA and coordinate the semester’s events. On that note, we would like to re-initiate our CALL FOR SPEAKERS. DELUG is for deep learning enthusiasts of all levels and backgrounds, and is the perfect place to practice your speaking skills, present interesting findings in the field or results of your own, and pitch future research ideas. If you or someone you know would like to join the deep learning conversation, please let us know!

We’ll be in touch with more information; however, as of now, plan on March 2nd for our next meeting!

Hello DELUG members,

We are excited to announce the speaker for our upcoming meeting on March 2. 

Layton Hayes will be speaking to us about memory augmented neural nets - a very exciting branch of deep learning which has been shown to outperform recurrent neural networks in learning tasks. Layton is finishing up his dual undergraduate (CS) and Master’s (AI) program at UGA before heading off to start his career in industry,  and we are looking forward to his presentation. 

Come on out and get your deep learning fix next Friday March 2 at 10AM (Location: TBD). We will send another e-mail once the room is reserved.
