Hey, guys! Anna, Sage and I are on Second Year Council, and the application for Third Year Council is now open! Just thought I'd pass the information on to y'all. 

Class council is fun and a great way to get involved with some of UVA's favorite traditions, such as Lighting of the Lawn. If you have any questions about class council, feel free to ask Sage, Rigby or me!

Hi Everyone,

 

As mentioned at the meetings yesterday, class council and trustees applications are live today. The link can be found in the blurb below which we’d really appreciate you forwarding to friends, organizations, etc. You can change the blurb to make it more personal to your experience or group or just to make it shorter.

 

 

Apply to be a member of the Class of 2017 Second Year Council, Class of 2016 Third Year Council or Class of 2015 Fourth Year Trustees!

 

Class Councils and Trustees are programming bodies for their respective Classes that work together to:

 

·         Plan, implement, and promote educational, social, and philanthropic Class activities such as study abroad workshops, study breaks, class dinners, and Lighting of the Lawn!

·         Promote and foster an intellectual community through academic activities and faculty-student interactions.

·         Communicate important information to your classmates.

·         Promote and develop career services and activities.

Applications are due Friday, March 7 at NOON. Class Council and Trustee members are chosen by the newly elected President and Vice President of the class in order to best represent the diversity of the class (based on undergraduate school, geographic origin, and extracurricular involvement).
