Logo for Pragyan CMS

We need a logo for the Pragyan CMS project. This is not a
"task" (meaning its not compulsory) and anyone of any year who is
interested can give a logo. If you create a logo upload it to the
group, and post the link here.

This is a good opportunity for the designers especially to show off
their skills. The winner's logo will be the official logo of Pragyan
CMS forever, and this is a thing to be proud of :)

Deadline for submitting logos is the Beta release of Pragyan CMS v3
which should be around 20 June. Out of the logos submitted before
deadline, we'll shortlist few and put it up on voting here. The one
with the highest votes will win !

@Abhishek:
By Pragyan CMS do u mean a logo for PRAGYAN or one for PRAGAN CMS...as
in what should the text read?

@Hena : I had the same confusion at first.... But dint have enough
time2 post in discussion.... So just start it wit pragyan as text
now.. Coz deadline is goin2 end... Anyway cms text can b added later
also....

@sriraghav: i think you completely misunderstood what we needed.....we
need a logo for pragyan CMS and not for Pragyan 2011 ( the logo of
pragyan will remain as the pragyan wheel, and also the text is not
going to change)....and one more thing is i don't think NITT is needed
in the Pragyan CMS logo....

@hena,dinesh : Again making it clear..we need a logo for Pragyan CMS
and not pragyan.....you'll get a better idea, if you check the logo's
of other CMS's like wordpress, joomla, drupal nall.....how it must be,
what text must be written is left to your imagination...but see to
that it is professional, don't use more than 5 colors,

just plain text will luk good in some good font ..!
try "catull" /
"tahoma" /
"seogiui"
or some prof looking fonts witout serif .. !
just "pragyanCMS" in some suitable color .. with some plain background ...

- catull is the google logo font... its good to be used .. !

@hena,dinesh and others : boopathi and balanivash has said correctly, we need a logo for Pragyan CMS software and not the event. Try to take some inspiration from logo of other CMS as balanivash said.

a few changes would have to be made...

@alok : ur logo sucks !
@dinesh : ur design is ok, but we need a LOGO, not a Poster ! I hope u know what I mean. And the font looks bad.
@sri-raghav : ur designs are good, but looks like everywhere u've put NITT or 2011. Its not the logo for Pragyan event, its the software and has no relations whatsoever with the actual event.
@hena : the design is good but its all "text". we need some "icon" kind of thing, it may not have the word "pragyan" or "cms" even.. but some "icon" which we can use to represent the CMS.

Sorry for delay.... Faced power cut......
I uploaded the files....
I improved the glow of 'P' a little coz its blending badly with the
shadow when the size is shrinked.....

@VJay : I like the design, but it cannot be used as a "logo". See the logo of other CMS and you'll understand. Not just text, it should also contain some "icon" or unique design.

the font is great but the logo is not all that gud......both the photos does not go along weel enough.......

so much black makes it look less interesting...The idea maybe ok..but

Excellent idea.

If possible, try making the same thing in inkscape. I tried to copy it and a got a very rough replica.

@sahil : I am not familiar with softwares other than PS and Corel Draw
for designing... :)
Hwever I uploaded a HQ jpeg image of the same... I think smoothness
wont b a prob as I still got max comp psd file saved!!!

Yep, that was my only concern. As long as it remains smooth, and we have the original psd equivalent, its ok.
