Anyoneat Corsair actually wants to let all of us that purchased this item with no updates is going on? I would love an update on what we need to do with this Widgit LCD screen now. Or for these last 3 years, this is all we are going to get?
Perhaps something new is coming out and that is why. That is the only thing I can figure out at this point and time. I am not bashing Corsair or raging. I personally wanted some updated information on what is actually going on with it. As in other threads, nothing was ever answered and it got swept back and that was that. Same with all other posts asking.
If Corsair says no support that is fine. But let your customers know what is going on with a product they bought with no updates. Before someone states it had updates. There were only bug fixes for these 3 years looking through the patch notes. That is expected as new software breaks older code. I will remove it and place it in the box and it then goes in the closet. I have spent more on less. That is just life and how it goes.
Honestly, this didn't go as planned. I am disappointed in Corsair's company at this point and time. The Round Robin support effect and no posting help or even information for the Nexus. This isn't what I wanted to see from a thriving company in 2023.
I understand most will not care or say anything in this thread. They will continue to buy Corsair's hardware and think nothing more about it. When a small handful of people have to build stuff and help out the community and Corsair just moves on it's when it looks really bad.
As always a big Thank You to the people that made the custom backgrounds for the Nexus and other odds and ends. Without you, we would have nothing. Continue helping the community and making people happy. You surely made me happy with all the custom backgrounds and things you uploaded for us. You are the real heroes in this forum. And not all heroes wear capes.
From the lack of support and the not answering posts. I will not be supporting Corsair in the future. You cannot just sweep support under the rug and act like nothing happened. I do understand one person will not make much of a difference. I will not do anything in the future for friends and family that will be using Corsair.
Well make that two people now. I feel the same way. The Nexus had so much potential but it's really just a glorified temperature display or some extra fancy 'G' macro keys. Look back at the Logitech LCD screens that were so well supported over the years -- there's no reason why the Nexus could not do the same. At least release a SDK for it (like Logitech did) and let the community come up with new uses for it. It's a disappointment right now.
Thank you both for the post. What is sad is all the Corsair people are tiptoeing around this thread. But they have done with every single line that had Nerxus issues in it. We were all lucky to get an "I will pass it along" reply back and that was it. After that, they went dark on us.
If they did this and people made stuff for it. It would make Corsair look worse than they do now. As nothing has been made for so far. I totally agree with you. They should have done it right after they released it, to be honest.
I say offer a refund or let us send it back in for credit or swap it for another device. That is the very least Corsair can do at this point. For giving us absolutely nothing in return for buying a product for them. Heck at this point I take an apology now. Just admit you've done the end users wrong at this point.
Let me ask the NEXUS users here. When you update your video card driver. Does it flip your NEXUS mirrored backward? Mine has been doing it since purchased mine. It is a simple fix but just annoying at the same time. I just wonder why Corsair never bothered to address it and fix it. Unless I am just the only one here.
Thanks for the response. I generally just restart ICUE and it puts it back correctly. That is why I added it as a simple fix. Nvidia is iffy at times for us all. I just wished Corsair Mods here would actually respond instead of not even responding to the issues we have with NEXUS. At this point, they are aware of it but I personally feel they just don't want to respond and light that torch.
At this point I don't care if they don't add any more features just wish the current load and temp's where accurate not asking alot from a $100 add on, I could have bought a crappy screen and the temps and loads would be correct.
Anything at this point and time would be lovely. What would be great is Corsair actually posting in here on the issue(s). And explaining why nothing has happened on it for all of this long of a time for the end users. But what do I know these days?
Long time Logitech g19 user here. My keyboard is now showing its age and the time has come to look for a replacement. I am very interested in the K100/nexus combo but after seeing that there are no updates or support, i'm kinda put off to get one. To be honest their customer support has been excellent in the past from the days of my h50 cooler, ddr2 dominators and I was using an HX620 psu for as long as i can remember until the nvidia 30 series came out. I am puzzled as to why Corsair just ignored the nexus, and like some users posted they just have told the customers if there is no real support coming.
The only thing stopping me now from getting the k100/nexus is this. Shame because I really like the K100 but i may have to get another brand if Corsair continues this trend of not informing customers what exactly is going on. This makes it very hard for me to recommend Corsair to my clients and friends like i did in the past.
Corsair, if you are reading this, kindly let us know what is happening. This is very unlikely of you. If there is no support coming, let us know. I think that is better than having your long time loyal customers start to hate you.
This product is simply "EOL" now. They have way too much new stuff out now to focus on a 2020 released product. Yeah, we have seen the two updates for 3 years. Those dropped out late in 2023 but nothing new was added to the pot. It is time to retire it.
That's just sad... I played around with a k100 in-store and i really liked it. Seems a really good successor for my Logitech g19. Then I stumbled upon this thread and now I am doubting how useful the nexus would be for me. I am just thinking to get another g19 if I even find one. At first I was using lcdhost/lcdsirreal from my g15 days then eventually used Aida64.
It would be really nice for Corsair to even acknowledge this thread just so we are not in the dark, and not something like "we have updates planned ahead" and yet do not reveal any information. With the time that has passed since the K100 and the nexus came out, I'm having second thoughts on getting it since they might announce a new product similar to these. $250+ on a keyboard is not a joke and not a lot of people would need it too.
If you have a bunch of Corsair hardware it will go on the NEXUS. It will do that automatically. There are some pre-built widgets, and some macro commanding that you can do. If you can use the basic stuff on it then you are fine. It is great as Corsair has a great ECO system. But anything else you are just stuck with it. It is a what you see is what you get. If only they would release that SDK for it then we could all have a go at it then. I am sure these talented people could make some great stuff with it.
For me, it is just very limited for the price. All the stuff on it you can do in AIDA 64 and make it look way better anyway and it is free. Or the good old MSI AfterBurner. I am not knocking anyone from buying it. It might work out great for you. The lack of updates and support basically killed it though. I would imagine something else will come out shortly.
They should have included the NEXUS in the K100. I mean internally. As it has plenty of room they could have used up top on it. That just has a few small icons and a huge Corsair logo. That space would have fit it perfectly. The whole sticking things on it is kinda of a bummer for me. But that is just me. If it would have been $30 - $40 max it would have been okay. You just don't get enough to justify that high price tag.
Well the good thing is the nexus is included with the k100 at this time for free. No other corsair stuff for me at the moment since I invested in lian-li sl120 fans. If only their Daisy chained fans were out at that time, I would have chosen it in a heartbeat. I've been using Corsair stuff since the DDR2 Dominators, as well as their PSU. Only excuse that I don't have Corsair ram at the moment is DDR5 is nowhere to be found when intel 12th gen came out. Just have to grab what's available... Stock widgets and the other presets isn't enough for me though... At least I need Aida64 so I can make my own layout just like what I am using with my current logitech g19.
As you said, yeah even just MSI Afterburner. I don't mind to lose the touchscreen functionality as long as I can make the layout I want and not in preset blocks or squares or spaces or whatever that you cannot control manually by the pixel. (And yeah I think I'm asking a bit too much here haha)
Not that I am saying that the price does not matter, but spending a bit more, even at a premium is perfectly fine with me if I can use it for years to come, and use it the way I wanted to. A perfect example would by the g19 (almost 10 years ago?), which was $200 i think when it was released. That was the time when a $100 keyboard or mouse would already be too expensive. Now we have $300+ items.
