to Delphi on Rails
Hi,
Long time no news of this project, nor any updates. Is DOR still
alive?

Of course not, but nobody asks me questions about DOR in this group. You can see recent commits here: http://code.google.com/p/delphionrails/updates/list - Very complete support of ISO 8601 dates - Fields without charset (NONE/OCTET), are serialized with exadecimal string. - Support for TGUID data type ...
The project is mature, and I make changes based on requests I receive. I work myself at this time on a project that uses DOR, more precisely, I refactor an application moving working code to an application server. Like all projects, DOR needs a community and user feedback.
On the Internet, there are many testimonies of people who leave delphi to switch to Ruby on Rails.
It is a pity, but I can understand if you tried IntraWeb. I am very eager to compile DOR for Linux and Mac OS X. The original version was already working on these two systems (thanks to FPC), but when Delphi 2010 came with the new RTTI, the advantage of using the new RTTI was more important.
