Job Description:
The Financial Messaging Expert’s role is to understand the current business process for the communication between our client and the custodian and document all the changes necessary to implement the standard SWIFT messaging interface.
 The candidate will typically work under the direction of the Client Relationship Officer (CRO) and required to continue working on a project as it progresses through requirements definition, design, development and/or testing.
 Work closely with the back office user group and clearly document the requirements and static data setup for each message type
Provide the necessary training to the business users for the static data setup and workflow
Conduct/attend requirements definition meetings with end users and document system requirements.
Work closely with the developers and provide necessary inputs for the development of the changes
Coordinate with the custodian, business users and technical team for testing each of the messages.
Coordinate with the application vendor to report any issue and follow-up with them for the resolution
Create as-is and to-be process models using the Rational tool set or other standard process modeling tools, to represent business processes for the area under analysis.
Promptly escalate the issues to the back office user lead and the Client relationship officer

Required Skills:
The candidate is needed to work on a project which will automate the interface between the client and the custodian using the SWIFT interface.
Should have clear understanding of Accounting and Settlement concepts for Fixed income and Derivative products
At least 5 years experience working with different SWIFT messages required for the settlement and trade confirmations
Hands on experience with the setup of static data related to the SWIFT message generation (Settlement, payment and trade confirmation messages) in Summit application
In-depth experience with the Summit application – specifically all trading, accounting and settlement modules for fixed income instruments and derivative products
direct experience in business analysis and data and process modeling techniques.
Experience with the Rational Unified Process (data flow diagrams, activity hierarchy diagrams, use case diagrams, activity diagrams, data models) is highly desired.
Experience with at least one standard methodology is required

Outstanding Analytical skills
Excellent communication and facilitation skills
 
Desired Skills:
Any prior experience working with MQ Series and dispatching messaging through MQ will be an added advantage.
