Honey mustard sauce means a lot of different things to me, but mostly what it means is that when I make it, I am going to get to eat something that will be dipped in sauce. And in my life, there are few things better than a meal dipped in sauce.

So great. I try to sneak veg options into our weekly meals. Made this to go with a tomato salad, fries and some incogmeato chiX nuggets. It was intended as a dipping sauce for the nuggets, but the fam put it on EVERYTHING!!.

YASSSS thank you Lindsey for this recipe! Basically when I go to fast food restaurants I always order chicken nuggets just because HONEY MUSTARD. I will definitely be trying this much more natural version at home! Thank you! ?

Is it wrong that I sort of want to just make a HUGE vat of this sauce and then swim in it for awhile, before slurping my way out of it?
Yeah, that sounded weird.
Whatever. I lovety love LOVE honey mustard, so this is my jam! Pinned!

I was just looking for a honey mustard salad dressing recipe and saw your instagram post! It was fate I guess. ? This looks like pretty much the best dipping sauce ever to grace the interwebs. Have you tried this as a salad dressing yet?

Honey mustard is a popular dipping sauce in America which can be found in the majority or supermarkets and restaurants. As the name suggests it combines honey with mustard to create a tangy and sweet dip.

Using sauces and dips for your recipes keeps them new and different. I always enjoy trying out new sauces, and this honey mustard sauce is so good I could practically eat it with a spoon. I bet you will think the same thing when you taste it.

Chicken salad is one of the classic lunch options you see in school cafeterias, grab-and-go lunch counters, and delis. As much as I love it, the bland versions that are with heavy with mayo just don't appeal to me. I've made a lightened up 5 ingredient chicken salad and Greek tzatziki chicken salad, but it's about time I share my no mayo chicken salad for all the mayonnaise haters.

Instead of mayonnaise or Greek yogurt, we're using a delicious honey mustard vinaigrette in this chicken salad. It's tangy, punchy and with the perfect amount of sweetness. Mixed with add-ins like kale slaw, dried cranberries and diced celery, this is a no mayo chicken salad you won't get enough of.

Dried cranberries. These add a lovely burst of sweetness! Look for an unsweetened option such as these. Not a fan of cranberries? Try pomegranates, dried cherries, raisins or even chopped prunes.

Kale slaw. Optional, but recommended. I love adding coleslaw mixes into my chicken salad for additional vegetables. I find kale slaw works best in this recipe as the pieces are quite small and the kale adds a great texture and bulk without being as tough as cabbage. However you can easily omit this or substitute with any coleslaw mix of choice.

Make the honey mustard vinaigrette: In a small bowl or glass mason jar whisk together olive oil, apple cider vinegar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, dijon mustard, and honey.

Make the chicken salad: To a large mixing bowl, add shredded cooked chicken, red onion, celery, dried cranberries and kale slaw (if using). Drizzle with honey mustard vinaigrette and mix until fully combined.

I love switching up this recipe by adding cup almonds for crunch! Another sweeter variation I like is with cup diced apples or sliced grapes. Note that adding fresh fruit will decrease the storage time to 3 days.

I add kale slaw to my chicken salad to help increase the vegetables and add bulk and fiber to this protein to keep me full. If you would like to leave it out or use a different coleslaw blend of choice, you absolutely can.

Every time I go to a barbecue, the first question people ask me is if I brought my homemade honey mustard sauce. It's truly amazing how many people have this recipe memorized. This creamy honey mustard mayo is the best sweet and tangy dipping sauce and goes so well with french fries, chicken wings, pork, hamburgers, or as a dressing for salads.

The original version of this creamy sauce has been passed down from generation to generation in my family so you can trust that it's good! If you're looking for a great dipping sauce, look no further!

The basis of this sauce are honey, mustard, and mayonnaise. Additionally, I added some apple cider vinegar, sea salt, and black pepper for a balanced taste. It's a very simple and straightforward recipe with basic ingredients.

I've tried this recipe with several types of honey and I love raw acacia honey the most. But any type of honey works fine. You can even use unfiltered honey or any thick and creamy honey like clover honey if you prefer.

This honey dijon sauce is tangy because of the dijon mustard and the apple cider vinegar and sweet from the honey. The mayonnaise tones the flavors down a notch so that the dipping sauce is not too tangy and overwhelming as honey dijon salad dressing usually is. It's the best sauce for pretzel pub burgers!

Absolutely. If you prefer your salad dressing to be tangier and less creamy, you can add 2-3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar if you like. By the way, my special burger sauce also tastes phenomenal on salads.

Because of the mayo, it's thicker than dressing and because of the vinegar a little thinner than ketchup. If you prefer it thicker, you will need to add more mayo. Note that in this case, the taste will change a lot. I don't recommend thickening it with cornstarch or reducing it over heat.

It's the perfect sauce for pretzel burgers or as a dip for air fryer chicken, chicken wings, french fries, onion rings, and more! My family also loves this sauce with pork chops and it's one of our staple sauces for BBQs.

You can store it in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. It should be safe for another 1-2 weeks longer, but the taste changes after a few weeks and we love it most when consumed within 2-3 weeks. Trust your senses. Look and smell first, and if it doesn't smell or is discolored or separated, give it a try. If in doubt, discard it.

Dijon mustard: Dijon mustard is a smooth condiment made from ground mustard seed, white wine, vinegar and seasonings. You could also use yellow mustard, spicy mustard or whole-grain mustard.

Apple cider vinegar: ACV provides tangy flavor to balance the sweet and creamy. You can find apple cider vinegar in the baking aisle of any regular grocery store. You could also use an equal amount of lemon juice.

Sriracha or hot sauce: technically, the hot sauce element is optional. But, the addition of a spicy element makes this dressing cover all of the flavor elements: creamy, sweet, tangy, spicy and savory! And a sweet spicy vibe is just so, so good. I like sriracha here but you can use your favorite hot sauce.

Taste and season per your taste. An extra pinch of salt will lift the overall flavor, more hot sauce to make it spicier, more honey if you want it a little sweeter, a splash more ACV for tang and acidity. (I like it just as written but everyone has different taste buds!)

Note: If you plan to eat the sandwich later in the day, apply a small layer of butter onto both sides of the bun. This will help prevent the buns from soaking in the moisture from the egg salad mixture and turn soggy.

My favorite egg salad recipe!!! I have received so many compliments on this recipe, and it goes so well with fresh milk bread or mini fluffy buns. I also like to add a piece of ham into the sando for added bite. Thank you for posting!

I made this recipe and it's so good. I used the honey mustard i got from fast food (since I don't have honey mustard available). Now I need to buy a bottle of honey mustand since I am going to make this a lot! Thanks for the recipe.

Exactly the taste I was looking to achieve! I did use mayo in place of yogurt, used about 5 tbs honey, 2 1/2 tbs lemon and only 1 tablespoon apple cider. Oh and I used stone ground mustard because I like how it looks. It is delightful! It is very light bright but creamy at the same time. I like how it is creamy without being heavy. This will be my go to honey mustard!!

This salad dressing is absolutely delicious. We made a small substitution and replaced the olive oil with sesame oil. It takes it to a whole other level! Thank you for the recipe, we enjoy it almost every day!

Smashed potatoes with a homemade honey mustard dipping sauce makes for the perfect side dish for dinner this week. The potatoes are boiled, smashed, then roasted until crispy and served with a delicious creamy sauce.

Honey mustard sauce is one of my partner's most requested recipes. And rightly so, it is bloody delicious! I make mine a little bit different because I love the underlying flavours of the honey and mustard and want to make sure they can come out to shine!

The first time I made a honey mustard sauce no mayo was for a tempeh recipe that I did for mine and my partner's meal prep. He's pretty against the "vegan" protein options, but didn't even complain because he LOOOOOVED the sauce.

Wholegrain mustard. Now this is my secret ingredient. I love the texture that comes from the mustard seeds and when you cook a honey mustard chicken or a honey mustard ham, you can see the seeds roasting up as well. Talk about delish!
