Hi,

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up before it's made public. I
am officially running for AHA Governing Committee again this year. As
you may already know, I lost by only 30 votes last year. The election
starts on 2/21 and should be posted by 2/15 at the following link.

http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/

You need to be an AHA member to vote.

The following letter is being sent out to over 300 homebrew clubs
along the east coast.

I'll keep everyone posted.

Cheers,

Ron

Hi,

My name is Ron Price and I am running for AHA Governing Committee.

http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/pages/membership/aha-governing-committee

It is my hope to fill the spot that Gordon Strong will be vacating.
Gordon has termed out, and it will be great to get an East Coast
homebrewer on the board.

I live in Delaware, and I am a proud member of The Delmarva United
Homebrewers. I have been deeply involved with homebrewing and the
craft beer scene for over 20 years. I am very active in judging AHA/
BJCP sponsored homebrew competitions up and down the east coast. Most
recently, I had the honors of directing and judging the first ever AHA/
BJCP sponsored homebrew competition in Delaware at The Delaware State
Fair.

http://battleofthebrews.webs.com/

I am presently the global moderator for the AHA Forum, and I really
enjoy interacting with my fellow homebrewers.

http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/forum/index.php

I am running not only because I am passionate about homebrewing, but
I’m seriously concerned about the absence of “East coast”
representation within AHA. I also desire to play a very active role in
the vision and direction of the Governing Committee. Currently, there
is no East Coast representation on the GC and I want to change that by
getting your vote.

The AHA will post the details related to the election in the coming
weeks on their web page.

http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/

The final votes need to be in by March 31. In order to vote you need
to be a member of AHA.

http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/pages/membership/american-homebrewers-association

I will be sending more information as soon as the voting begins.
Please ask your fellow brewers to help us get the East Coast
representation that we all need. Feel free to contact me with your
concerns and support.

Thanks for your support!

Cheers,
Ron

Ron:

Well said. I spoke with Gordon last Saturday, and he told me that he
supports your effort, as well.

Perhaps if you asked him he might put together a statement in support
that you could also send out.

Ron!!

I'm at sea at the moment but will be in and out of US ports till the 17th of Feb. Can I cast an early vote? If not, perhaps I can receive info on the ship via e-mail and I will vote from the Middle of the Atlantic. If you don't mind forwarding to me the relevant info at chmate....@globeemail.com that would be great! If possible, you can count on my vote!

I get back in late May. We need to brew together!

Cheer Bro and good luck!
