This recipe also came with a message from Russian River:

"NO RANDALL, NO PROBLEM, THIS RECIPE IS HOPPY ENOUGH TO NOT NEED A
RANDALL"

I'm Having a Lupulin Threshold Shift-
lupulin threshold shift
\lu·pu·lin thresh·old shift\
noun
1. When a once extraordinarily hoppy beer now seems pedestrian.
2. The phenomenon a person has when craving more bitterness in beer.
3. The long-term exposure to extremely hoppy beers; if
excessive or prolonged, a habitual dependence on hops will
occur.
4. When a "Double IPA" just is not enough.

That's an awesome recipe. It will be a challenge to get good hop utilization but in any event it should be tasty. One of the keys to getting good hop utilization is doing full volume boils. As a general rule, the larger the volume of liquid...the better the hop utilization.

Keep in mind that that amount of hops will absorb and hold a lot of the wort...so you may want to squeeze the hop bags after racking into the primary fermenter. You'll probably get at least another half gallon from the soaked hops.

Good Luck!
