Help with error: [E::inflate_block] inflate failed: invalid distance too far back

Hi Tobias and anyone reading,

We are running delly2 multi-thread in 4 sample batches to detect Deletions. During the first calling, using a command similar to:

delly call -t DEL -g hg19.fa -o s1.bcf sample1.bam 
sample2.bam [...]

We keep getting the following error:

¿Do you know what could be the cause?

Almost forgot. We are using the latest version from git.

Looks like a corrupted BAM file. Are you maybe missing the end of file (EOF) marker. Can you try running samtools stats on your BAM files or did you notice any error when you used samtools index sample1.bam?
samtools stats sample1.bam
samtools stats sample2.bam
