HI I have a Delly output for an INV-withingene  event. The gene is on chromosome 5 and it is on the negative strand. I'm trying to visualize how this will look as a transcript and I have a difficult time visualizing this. The output is

POS-1 149,505,056 STRAND-1 +

POS-2 149,505,411 STRAND-2 -

POS-3 149,505,057 STRAND-3 -

POS-4 149,505,412 STRAND-4 +

If I sort by order from it looks like this 4,2,3,1 so my thinking is that the final transcript would look something like below with 3 & 2 being inverted?

thanks.

5'  4-3-2-1  3'

The functional effects of inversions are difficult to predict. In general, whole-gene inversions are likely to be less damaging than inversions in which one or both breakpoints lie within a gene.
