Colors edits, set list, rehearsal reminders

Hey DC,

This is a long one... SORRY!

Thanks for everyone coming together last night and collaborating in a positive way! I am SO pleased with our set list and with the edits everyone suggested on the opener. We had a rough start, let's not let that ruin the energy and the steam heat we got going on! I know we all have some sacrifices to make to pull this show together in the next few weeks, but seriously thank you in advanced for sticking with it. I'm just really jazzed that we'll be putting time into a solid show.

Attached is the FINAL version of Colors of the Rainbow, our opening. Mel, I hope you appreciate the lines we gave you! :) Don't forget too there will be a little room for ad-libbing in this one. Especially Eli, that monologue is yours to do with it what you will! 

Don't forget, Eli has asked us all to come to the next rehearsal with at least ONE blackout. (Phone themed is great! We already have 2)

So next rehearsal will be FRIDAY DECEMBER 27TH AT 8pm! Everyone but Chris will be there. Not sure of the venue yet, but let's plan on putting some scenes on their feet. BRING THOSE HARD COPIES PEOPLE! You know which scene you're in charge of, so make your edits and print off enough copies so peeps don't gots to share.

The next rehearsal after that will be 11am SUNDAY DECEMBER 29TH! We are planning on sneaking into a Second City room for free! (Or if anyone can pull some strings, book us a room for free?) That afternoon I need to leave by 3:30 and Michael has an audition to run. So we'll see everyone again at the FFA. We should pick out some scenes to run for that show, agreed? Scripts in hand is totally cool. If we are feeling like meeting again after the show to run anything, so be it!

That Tuesday DECEMBER 31st is (#1 my birthday, #2 new years eve) but also #3 Sketch on the Rocks? Bill, can we perform any sketches there? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Otherwise our next rehearsal will be THURSDAY January 2nd. This will be as long as we need it to be. I think all sketches need to be blocked this night. Try to be as off book as you can! Then we'll have SUNDAY JANUARY 5th for FFA (sketches) and then after show for run throughs (off book!) If we want to hit up Bill for another Sketch on the Rocks opportunity that TUESDAY JANUARY 7th, we totes can. The next day, Wednesday the 8th, is our TECH! We should be fully off book, blocked, and ready to do a dry tech run with Andrew. 

Cool? So this is what we're working with! As soon as you make your edits to your scenes, email them and print them off! (Emailing will help for those of us wanting to get off book when we're not all together) 

ALSO*** Eli requested that I record myself doing the Colors dance to help you guys learn it. I'll be doing that tonight before I leave town. I promise! Scouts honor! Please tell me everyone will at least watch it? Thanks chaps! I'll email that separately. 

Mel, respond so I know you got this!?!? Bill said the Google group was being a dick to you!

Thanks, Carol! It looks like we're in pretty good shape if we stick to that schedule. 

In terms of next Sunday, I have to work but I'll try to give the shift away, or at the very least I will most likely be off by 11:30ish if it's slow. 

Personally I don't think I'll be able to do sketch on the rocks on NYE.

Lastly, since Thursdays have always been our rehearsal day, I think it important to make the most of them, which means starting as early as possible. I myself have been requesting Thursday nights off work since being in DC. I think until sketchfest everyone should try to do the same. It's only for three weeks, and like Carol said, we'll all be making sacrifices.
