SPIC MACAY - Planning Meeting - FEST 2013

Inviting Educational Institutions, Media Representatives, Student Volunteers, Senior coordinators, Volunteers and Interested People

Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth - SPIC MACAY is beginning its all India FEST 2013 (FEST series is a cultural festival comprising all aspects of Indian cultural heritage, and is held at various educational institutions across India. It is held in the latter half of the academic year).

. The series will be inaugurated on Monday, 21st of January, 2013 by Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia (Flute recital) at Hindu College, North Campus (DU) at 16:30hrs onwards. In this series, various modules of our rich cultural heritage will be presented in schools and colleges. It will comprise the modules of classical music/ dance, folk, talks, cinema classics, workshops and intensives of crafts/art forms, yoga/meditation, holistic food and walks to heritage sites.

A planning meeting for Delhi and NCR's FEST 2013 has been scheduled to discuss the role of educational institutions and partner with them to promulgate our heritage and art forms to give the present generation of students a transformative education system.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, 16^th Jan 2013 at HLL Hall, Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi, from 3-5 p.m.

Agenda of the meeting will be:

-to present and discuss the modules for FEST 2013

-Vision 2020: Progress and challenges on strategic directions.

-to present key responsibilities of educational institutions and student volunteers for FEST 2013

-Distribution/collection of Consent forms for FEST 2013

-Exchange of words/ queries/ contact details with guests, media and volunteers.

Note:

-We request everyone to take their seats by 14:45hrs.

-We also request you to spread the message to as many people as you can

-Mobile Phones should be switched off or on silent mode.

-Institutions willing to organise a program can submit the Consent Form for FEST 2013.
