SPIC MACAY- FEST 2013 Inauguration

Dedicated to Pandit Ravi Shankar, Pandit Yashwant Bua Joshi,

Janab Saadat Hassan Manto and Shri M.S. Gopalakrishnan.

The SPIC MACAY Hindu College Chapter is hosting FEST 2013's inaugural program by Padma Vibhushan awardee, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia!

Uplifting Performance by Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia (Flute)

Sh Subhankar Banerjee (Tabla)

Ms Debopriya Chatterjee (Flute)

on Monday, January 21th 2013 at Hindu College, Delhi University- North Campus, Delhi

Timings: 17:30hrs onwards

SPIC MACAY - FEST series organised in the latter half of the academic year is the annual series, comprising an eclectic mixture of performances by artists and workshops in classical music, classical arts, and folk. It will also be having intensives, informal discussions, theatre, heritage walks, puppet theatre, cinema classics, craft workshops, talks and yog/meditation in various educational institutions, all over India and abroad.

Note:

-We request the invitees to take their seats by 17:15hrs.

-We also request no entry or exit while the artist is performing.

-Flash Photography is prohibited.

-Audio/Video recording is strictly not allowed.

-Mobile Phones should be switched off.

All are invited- First Come First Serve

Dear Rajiv

Please refer to your following circular which has been done nicely.Also refer to the latest posting in our web about Fest 13.  However there is a contradiction about the definition of Fest in your mail/postings vis a vis the contents of our web site. Our website defines Fest as under ,I quote

FESTS (The Festival) :-

Fest concerts- held in the latter half of the academic year, are formal presentations of classical music and dance. The aim of this series is to inspire the student community with the ‘real thing’ which will be sustained as they attend more Lec Dems and baithaks. The FEST series also provides the students an opportunity to witness several young and upcoming artistes perform along with the senior artists

As per our web Fest emphasises classical music and classical dance. Folk etc etc are covered u dear Virasat which is a theme of composite heritage.  Have you decided to merge the two? If so why we show Fest as different  in our web site while describing About Us. 

Would you like to look into the matter please? I have been always accused of believing God lives in details. Hence my apologies for this o servations
