Invitation - Camp on Socialism  

• Are you troubled by poverty?

• Does the news of violence against women, increasing atrocities against Dalits, and mob lynching in the name of religion and caste disturb you?

• Are you outraged by the government's mistreatment of protesting farmers?

• Does the forceful clearing of the Hasdeo Aranya forest and the displacement of its Adivasi inhabitants in the name of development anger you?

• Were you disturbed by the government's neglect of our women wrestlers' struggle?

• Does the death of Inder Meghwal, a Dalit student beaten for touching a water pot, horrify you?

• From the lynching of Junaid to the brutal episode of Bilkis Bano, do you feel our nation has lost its peace and harmony?

• Do you want to change this terrible situation?

• Do you envision a just and equitable society based on peace and harmony?

If your answer to any of the questions above is yes, then join us for a workshop on socialism and be part of the change.

What? Understanding Socialism in the Indian Context  

Why Join Us? In this camp we will try to understand the broad ideological framework of socialism, so that it can be used to build a society based on justice and equality. We will also learn to use the lenses of caste, class, gender, religion to understand our problems.

When: 24 to 28th June, 2024

Where? School for Socialism, Yusuf Meherally Centre, Kandikhal, near Kempty Fall, Musoorie, Uttarakhand

Resource Persons: Senior socialist thinkers, professors and social workers will join this camp as resource persons, like Prof. Anand Kumar, Prof. Hanumantha, Prof. Ajit Jha, Dr. Sunilam, Bhanwar Meghwanshi, Dr. Sujatha Suryapalli, Advocate Anil Nauria, Abhay Kumar, Dipankar, Dr. Ram Puniyani, Faisal Khan, I.D. Khajuria, Randhir Gautam and other friends.

क्या हमारे देश के आंदोलनरत किसानों के साथ सरकार द्वारा किए गए व्यवहार ने आपको परेशान किया है ?

क्या विकास के नाम पर हसदेव के जंगल का सफ़ाया और आदिवासियों का विस्थापन आपको परेशान करता है ? 

क्या हमारी महिला पहलवानों के न्याय के संघर्ष की अनदेखी ने आपको परेशान किया ?

राजस्थान के जालोर जिले में दलित छात्र इंद्र मेघवाल के मटकी छू लेने पर उसकी पिटाई से मौत हो गई थी, क्या इस घटना ने आपको परेशान किया?

जुनैद से लेकर बिलकिस बानो मामले तक क्या आपको देश में शांति और सद्भाव की कमी महसूस होती है?

क्या आप इन हालातों को बदलना चाहते हैं?

क्या आप शांति और सद्भाव पर आधारित एक न्यायपूर्ण और समतामूलक समाज देखना चाहते हैं?

क्या? भारतीय परिपेक्ष में समाजवाद की समझ - एक वैचारिक शिविर

क्यूँ जुड़ें? इस शिविर में हम समाजवाद के व्यापक वैचारिक ढांचे को समझने का प्रयास करेंगे, ताकि इसे एक न्याय और समता आधारित समाज के निर्माण के लिए इस्तेमाल किया जा सके. हमारी समस्याओं को समझने के लिए हम जाति, वर्ग, लिंग, धर्म के चश्मे का उपयोग करना भी सीखेंगे।
