There is so much to remember...but for now I can only say that, your politics, analysis, friendship, mentorship and support to activists, people's movements, friends and communities is our gain forever. You will remain my dost forever! 

Comrade Anil Chaudhary passes on this day of Ambedkar. Born 5th June, 1951...his last breath was this morning 14th April 2025, after being hospitalised from a heart attack last week and being on ventilator support. He had courageously battled cancer for many years with a mind that overpowered the body till his last. 

On 19-20th March, PEACE, the organisation celebrated 30 years सवाल उठाने की संस्कृति के तीन दशक और बविंश्या की राह (Three decades of a culture of questioning and the road to the future), which was attended by over 250 people from across the country. His politics, wisdom, humour and his friendship gave us laughter, hope and courage once more.

Deepest condolences to his wife Ranjana Saxena, his son and daughter-in-law, Abhinav and Arpita and family, his closest buddies, many many saathis, across the world and the team at PEACE over the years and now who continue carrying the mashaal that Anil lit.

This is to inform you that Shri Anil Chaudhary has passed away. He was on a ventilator for more than a week at Fortis Hospital, Gurugram after a severe heart attack. 

This is a moment of extreme grief and a huge loss for the immediate family, friends, acquaintances and the social sector in which he had continued to be in the role of an 'out of box' educator for more than four decades and until his last breath. 

The final rites of Shri Anil Chaudhary will take place at Nigambodh Ghat electric crematorium, Delhi @ 5.00 p.m. today.
