I have got reliable information that the VC is pressurizing the DCF (North Divn.) to have all the pavement trees removed from the North Campus of the DU. The attached document is incomplete; even then you may notice that item no. 14, 15 of the attached list is some indicator. We may have to file an RTI or contact Mr. Sinha the DCF immediately to have the issue clarified.

Just spoke to the DCF (North Div.). (Ph.2385374) He confirmed that the VC had applied for cutting down some 525 trees in North Campus. After rejection, he applied again with the numbers reduced to some 350. Now, after close inspection, the Forest Deptt. has given permission to cut down 26 trees.

However, we need to insure and check the implementation and rationale of the exercise with sensitivity, as the VC seems quite hell bent upon removal and possible the permission still is in excess. 525 surely is a merciless Nadirshahi figure.

can you or delhi greens Please check, follow on this...
anadish, how do we know it is pavement trees... (DCF?) 
Also Mr. Sinha is the Conservator (CF) not the DCF.
