Dear Ajay
it was so nice talking to you today. Given below is the detailed schedule of the 11th event. There are some things I left out in the tele conversation on the 11th programme. There is felicitation of progressive[ecological] farmers happening from 10.45 to 11.45 also. It would be good to get as many delhiites as possible for the whole day. Please circulate it as widely as possible.

Looking forward to meeting you on the 11th.

Join the Kisan Swaraj Yatra at Delhi

DECEMBER 11TH 2010: GANDHI DARSHAN, RAJ GHAT

The Nation's Capital to embrace the Nation's Farmers

Kisan Swaraj Yatra is a pan-Indian outreach and mobilization effort to draw fresh attention of the nation to the continuing agrarian crisis in India. The Yatra, organized by ASHA (Alliance for Sustainable and Holistic Agriculture), a loose network of hundreds of organizations across the country, had set off on Gandhi Jayanti at Sabarmati Ashram and would be reaching Rajghat (Delhi) on December 11th 2010.

The Kisan Swaraj Yatra, which found a loud response with farmers and others all over the country so far, is calling for a comprehensive new path for Indian agriculture – a path that will provide livelihood and food security for our farmers, keep our soils alive, and our food and water poison-free. So far, scores of farmers and other citizens have traveled across the country with a message of hope to farmers of the country, with an awakening call to all Indians about the need to save our food and farming systems and with a challenge posed to the governments that are adopting short-sighted, anti-farmer policies.

The last stop for this 71-day bus tour will be Rajghat on Dec. 11th, in a day-long event starting at 10 am.

10.00 am – 10.30 am: Homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Samadhi, Rajghat
