16th Annual Delaware Pride Festival

On behalf of Delaware Pride, Inc., we would like to invite you to
participate in the 16th Annual Delaware Pride Festival. The Delaware
Pride Festival is the single largest LGBTA gathering in Delaware, and
it helps give the community needed exposure and recognition. Our goal
is to promote platforms for expressing diversity and creating a more
visible and united LGBTA community.

In our sixteen years, the Delaware Pride Festival has grown from a few
hundred attendees to well over 3,000. The Delaware Pride Festival is
the ONLY GLBTA Pride Festival held in the entire state of Delaware!
Delaware Pride has various ways you can help out at our event, ranging
from financial support, donation of products, Gift Card or Gift Basket
Donations, advertising, signing up as a Festival Vendor, helping out
as a Volunteer or other miscellaneous support.

About Pride
Pride Festivals began in 1970 to celebrate the first
anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Rebellion, the event that many
consider the birth of the modern day gay rights movement. Since 1997,
Delaware Pride, Inc. has held an annual festival to promote awareness
and showcase organizations and business available to the GLBT and
straight ally community. Pride Festival weekend provides several
safe environments for people of the GLBT and straight ally community
to celebrate their diversity and support local economic growth by
partnering with the community and attracting individuals to Delaware.

GLBT Market Power
92% of GLBT Americans are likely to consider a brand that is known to
provide equal workplace benefits to all of their employees. 81% of
GLBT Americans are likely to consider a brand that supports non-profit
organizations. 64% of Americans are more likely to purchase every day
household products from companies that market directly to the GLBT
community. 20% of GLBT households have children. GLBT consumers have
more discretionary income to spend than the average American family.

Festival Information
Our 16th Anniversary Festival will be held at Blue Diamond Park at 765
Hamburg Rd., New Castle, DE 19720 on September 8th, 2012 from 11am
until 6pm. We are very excited to be bringing the festival back to
Northern Delaware where our organization first began.

The location has been selected, permits are all in place,
entertainment is scheduled, the beer truck is reserved, all that is
missing is YOU!!
