About the speakers: Jim & Adele Hayes hae devised an intricate grazing
system that allows a succession of ruminants to move through their
pastures. Jim will discuss multi-species grazing and Adele will share
her experience in direct marketing of pastured meats and other
products. Troy Bishopp, farmer and grazing specialist, known as "the
Grass Whisperer" has a "passion for pasture" - he will delve into the
many issues involved in grazing livestock and expects a real
conversation with participants. Cornell Beef Specialist Mike Baker
will discuss grazing systems for beef as well as all-forage winter
feeding programs for grass-fed beef. Cornell Swine Specialist Tro Bui
will talk about pasturing pigs.
