Green Bar – An Advanced Scoutmaster Fundamentals Course

 

Green Bar is almost here!  There is still time to sign up! The course starts next weekend.

September 19, 2009 &
October 3-4, 2009 &
October 17-18, 2009

Green Bar is enhanced training for Boy Scout leaders. It is a constantly updated course always featuring the newest materials released by BSA. Green Bar is the only area course featuring a new three-weekend format!

This course has been designed to offer all of the basic training modules designated for Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Troop Committee members, Webelos leaders, and interested parents.

Scouters who complete the entire course will receive their “Trained” strip and recognition that they are a Green Bar graduate. We encourage everyone to enjoy the entire series. However, if you only need some of the training modules, feel free to sign up for only those sessions you need.

Indoor Session: Sept 19, 2009; 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Location: Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2070 Ridgecliff Road in Upper Arlington

Outdoor Weekend 1: Oct 3-4, 2009; 8:00 a.m. on Oct 3 to 5:00 p.m. on Oct 4
Location: Camp Falling Rock
Completion of SM & SA Position-Specific Training and
Risk Management Training and
Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills

Outdoor Weekend 2: Oct 17-18, 2009; 8:00 a.m. on Oct 17 to 2:30 p.m. on Oct 18
Location: Camp Falling Rock
Continuation of Outdoor Leader Skills
