Has anyone gotten a letter or anything from an insurance company?  I have heard nothing on my two kids who have other ins., no things they want me to sign have been sent.  I think I will write letters to them to inquire about the status of my invoices.  I also got a check, and was able to go into EI billing and find a breakdown of exactly what kids and sessions were paid for.  I got 5 sessions kicked back as the county never closed out her Medicaid 6 months ago, and even though I brought that  up in April, Otsego county just did it the other day,(I guess it affected their payment for service coordination) so I am trying to find out when that will go to escrow.  So far, nothing, and I was notified of them being denied about 3 wks ago on EI billing.  She has no insurance and parents let the Medicaid run out or whatever.  Check was nice.  I think Christina does a wonderful job.  Of the 3 counties she gives the most information.

From the webinar I learned a few things:

    Medicaid
Checks are "written" weekly on a Monday but then not released to us for 16
days on a Wednesday (ugh) but at least we know

We can sign up for direct deposit!!! call CSC 800-343 9000

There is a number to call to check on the weekly payment amount-
    866-307-5549

Interesting info- in a month Medicaid has paid out 51 million - wow mostly
to agencies I bet (as we are just starting to see check in del co)

    Mcguiness
is updating its status to make it easier for us to track payment

    Insurances
Offer an expedited payment at a reduced rate- it you choose to do this you
will get reimbursed through the escrow account for the remittent (anyone
understand differently?) Info from 6-26 email

    Escrow
    Can also be direct deposit

I know a lot of us are frustrated with the lack of payment.... but I'd like
to thank Christina for all the information she has been providing us with
as the webinar was no more helpful than she is!!!! Thanks Christina!!

Anyone understand what I wrote differently? OR did anyone take anything
    else away from the webinar???

Just FYI, I called United Health Care to check the status of my April and May invoices, sent to NYEIS  05/06 and 05/22 respectively.  The insurance co. received them 06/25 from McGuinness.  She indicated it will be awhile, close to the 45 days.  At least they were received.  Excellus is closed today so can't check on the other.  I Email provider support to find out why so long.

this is the problem with insurances.... after they get the bill from McGuiness they have 30-45 days to process regardless if they are processing an individual's bill or a large agency's bill.  So we get stuck waiting.  We need to make sure that we don't get stuck having to contract with insurances directly and lose the safe guard of the county escrow account.

Please join UNYEIP and follow up with their posts.... we need to make sure we don't get sucked into a whirlwind of big insurance controlling EI.... even with the public health law covering us now it may change as the state feels its in their interest to have us contract with each agency.

I find it a little suspicious that McGuiness is still the interim SFA..... is the state just putting them in place for a while until they can take out the SFA and we have to contract with each private insurance for $20-30 per visit?????

FYI again.  I just talked to Excellus Blue Cross and Blue Shield. They are open Sat! They do not honor letters of subrugation and have not recieved any of my invoices for Apr, May and I didn't expect June yet.  These invoices were sent to NYEIS 5/12 and 5/30 respectively.  He did not sound like the payment would be coming to me and knew nothing about this.

I have gotten Apr and May Medicaid but just submitted June.  I can't find my commercial ins. id. numbers for my two kids to check the EOB on each.  Funny this just came up.  They better not use it as an excuse as to why Excellus doesn't have my invoices.  Finding the ID does not fit  with directions, but will dig into it harder tomorrow.  Also when we fill out the EOB if needed, when it has us put something under status - does 'billed' mean we submitted the bill to EI billing or does it mean they submitted to the ins. company.  Excellus still doesn't have any of my many invoices from Apr on thru June even though EI billing says they submitted it long ago.  They are not getting back to me like they used to.  I sent 3 Emails last week regarding the invoices and they haven't responded.  Medicaid has also turned down a child thru 3 cycles because the parents didn't have it when I saw her, and it still hasn't gone to escrow. I won't have any commercial ins. kids after Aug. 31, just a few Medicaid.  I will then work to get what I am owed before I take anymore.  Glad you got your check. Thank goodness for my 3-5 kids.

I finally got my June Medicaid check...
It was sent out early june and had the WRONG address even though I called
in April to verify my address....

Well CSC figured it out when it came back to them and it was sent to me at
the correct address a month+ after it was issued. I am hoping that now we
are through one cycle it will be faster and easier for may june july etc....

What I can say is it was easy to figure out which child I was paid for....
now if it will be that easy for private insurance it is still to be
    determined.

I wondered the same thing....   "under status - does 'billed' mean we submitted the bill to EI billing or does it mean they submitted to the ins. company"
I emailed last week regarding this and other questions like I posted and also they haven't got back to me like they used too....

FYI everyone, today, Monday  again called Excellus and they still haven't received any invoices to include Apr,May and June.  I Emailed Provider Support 3 x last week with no response but I figured they would fix it.  Excellus only allows 120 days from date of service to cover a claim.  Where can I complain about this, Provider Support is not helping at all, totallying ingnoring me. Do we have any phone numbers for McGuinness?    Just want everyone to be aware.

The numer I was calling at mcguiness is 518-393-3635. Hope this helps. I have excellus kids too and they do not have my claims yet either. I feel like there is some real problems with this system and no one with authority to fix it.  I believe the understanding was that the county escrow was to cover anything not paid or denied by insurance so I hope they will cover denied services if they are not received in time.  I feel like I was very patient at the beginning and willing to deal with a few bumps in the road, but this is getting ridiculous.
