Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on a good lap belt for a wheelchair that is difficult for the person using it to open. I have a student who is opening his own belt during the school day and while on the bus.  We are going to try using something to cover it for right now but I would like to just get something better.

Hip-Belt-Buckle_side-release.jpgright now he just has something like this, small and worn from tons of use. Maybe just a larger one would work?

BOP-FS018D-1 Wheelchair Belt Buckles_wheelchair positioning2.jpgwe looked at this but think it is probably a little too restrictive (a.k.a a pain for caregivers)

Thanks!

pictures didn't come through, feel free to email me them. Here are a few ideas: covers, bus like seat belt clips, thigh straps instead or move the seat belt clip to the side where the student can't reach it but adults can.
