Hello everyone ! A Couple of Notices:

1- It's that time again. Election time. The current Officers of the board, Mike Setteducati-President, Pete Dorian-Vice President, Rich Mercado-Secretary, Terry Grieb-Treasurer,(Terry has reconsidered to stay longer) are ready and able to serve for the next 2 year cycle if the membership so wishes. However if you would like to throw your hat in the ring, respond to this email and at that point there would be a vote for that position or positions. This notice will stay active for 48hrs. at which time it will close.

2-Dues payments, key exchange and membership renewals for 2026 will be held at the airport Administration building ,1000 Flightline Blvd, Deland, 32724 on Saturday, January 10th 2026. It will start at 9:30 AM and continue until 1:00 PM. Please remember to bring 2026 AMA cards, A valid proof of the FAA  and your old key ! Starting Monday, December 8th, the dues portal on the website will be open to pay your 2026 dues!

3-We are working on our club Christmas holiday Dinner Which is typically held at some point in January. Please watch for emails outlining the dinner, menu and price in the upcoming month !

A quick note: It has been brought to my attention that a rumor was started about the Christmas dinner being held in a not so nice facility. This is total nonsense. The location we chose is newly renovated facility that is very upscale and will insure a very good quality meal. This is the location that used to be where we had our club meetings and Xmas dinners in the past and at that time it was very good ! Sooooo - look for a previous email from our secretary (Rich) who created an invite and a quick link to sign up and pay for this dinner and come and enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow club members and a great meal ! Hope to see you all there !

A couple of notes : I would like to thank everyone that helped out yesterday to set up for our "Winter- Air-Fest" event. Everyone's participation made the job go quickly ---THANK YOU !

                                This coming  Saturday, February 7th, is  our annual 'Winter- Air- Fest" Once again I will be needing volunteers to help run the event. You will receive lunch for your labor. All volunteers should arrive no later than 7:30AM To  8:00 Am.Let's make this event great ! Hope to see you all there.

                                   Finally: Garbage cans are back out at the field but these are for the event.Once the event is finished the cans will be gone. We still haven't found a reasonable solution to garbage service other than everyone being responsible for their own garbage. Also people persist in dropping off at the field remnants of old planes and other items they don't want to throw out and inadvertently someone on the board or another member has to take them off to the garbage.  DON'T LEAVE THINGS AT THE FIELD THAT SHOULD BE THROWN AWAY ! OUR FLYING FIELD IS NOT A DUMPING STATION !
