+If you're like me (and the majority of people), you can't stand
bleeding your brakes. Yesterday I installed my cure to the brake
bleeding blues. Speed Bleeders, available for the Victory for under
$13 from Russell Performance Products
http://www.russellperformance.com/ can be installed in a leisurely few
minutes, and take the pain out of bleeding your brakes and/or changing
your brake fluid.

Had I remembered to pick up DOT 4 brake fluid, I would've changed out
the old fluid after installation. Unfortunately, I forgot to pick it
up and only had DOT3 & DOT5 in the garage.

Oh well, another day.

The Victory Tech - Brakes album at
http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=60795&a=6983732 contains
the photographs detailing the changeover process.

+The thermometer registered 14 degrees as I plunged headlong into the
chill this morning. I was wondering how my steel-toed clad tootsies
would withstand the chill this time. I wore three sock layers: inner
lightweight Wigwam socks under poly/silk combo GuideGear socks, under
heavyweight wool hunter socks. I lasted 45 miles before beginning to
feel a chill in my right toes and heel. When I passed the Meadowlands
(where the Jets beat the Colts in last night's cold) the outside temp
was 21, but my feet started warming up, and by the time I parked at
work they were fine. I'm guessing the slightly warmer temps plus the
adrenaline boost due to the traffic density requirements helped warm
things up a bit.

Tonight's ride home should define whether this combination of socks
will be satisfactory in the long run, as it's a warmer-to-colder ride.

koolchange theorized that my right foot might be supercooling itself in
comparison to the injured left side. This is something I'd not
previously considered.

Ride on.
