Bike Broke - The Weird Part

Here's the really weird part. I went over to the gas station and got a
couple containers of 89 octane. The bike took about 3 gal's to top off
(had 1.8 before and showed full afterwards - so seems normal). Started
it up and it ran fine. Drove it a few miles without problem. Took it
out for a 30 mile run. No problems. Drove it to work today (40 miles
round trip). No problem. Perhaps there was a vapor lock freed up when I
opened the tank? Anyway, go figure! I'm still going to check all the
conectors as you suggested.
