+I recently ordered another case of NAPA oil analysis kits from the
local NAPA store. A week later they're still trying to locate some. You
may recall the difficulty I had the first time I tried to order these.
My patience wearing thin, I told them to hold off on getting them.

Since they have a similar product at a similar price, I'm going to order
a bunch from AMSOIL instead. I'm switching to their 10w40 full-synth
High Performance oil next change anyway so this will likely simplify the
processes anyway.

Ride on.

Roadkill,
It's really a shame you can't get the NAPA ones cause it would have
definitely been more of an "independant analysis" Sending Amzoil old
oil in to Amzoil themselves wouldn't be as trustworthy.
I ran Amzoil in an old van of mine one time for 23,000 miles,
changing the filter two times. When the oil was sent into NAPA, it
came back saying that it was within 95% efficiency of new oil and put
back in, run for another 5,000 miles, then check again. I'd already
drained it and had new oil in, though.
A guy I know with a Gold Wing put 100,000 miles on the same Amzoil,
changing filter at regular intervals. His kept coming back right up to
the end saying same as mine did......amazing stuff if ya keep it clean.
