Haven't heard much from the Sting on this newsgroup lately. Does anyone
know if Sting is doing an 18 team this year? I heard that Bill S. may
be going Gold. What's happening with Sting?

Calling Bruce, calling Bruce....
Hey Bruce, what does foothill have this year? We (DC) are playing
them tomorrow.

think Bruce's daughter is playing softball anymore.

believe she pitches. We now know after playing Foothill, they could
have used her.

Frank, Thanks for the kind words about Ashleigh. The previous posts re:
Sting, et al are pretty much correct. Billy is taking his team to 18
Gold this summer. It's a mixture of the 1999 Sting 18U and 16U teams,
both of which finished 5th at Nationals last year. A few other additions
will add value to the team and there may be a few surprise players in
store for this Summer's Sting Gold team. It should be quite strong and
will contend for top 10 spot at Nationals. While my daughter is taking
off from HS ball this spring and may take summer off as well, don't be
surprised if a HS transfer occurs for 2001 and you see her back on the
field for Winter. If she plays this summer, it will be for Bill's team.
I am taking hiatus from managing Billy's team for now but remain working
behind the scenes as VP of Cal Sting. Just been too busy lately to do
more than read posts once a week but continue to do so with interest.

Saw a few games this week at Johnson tourney. Oak Ridge seems to be
playing the best based on the caliber of teams they have defeated so far
but remains to be seen if Deathridge can pitch them all the way on her
shoulders alone. HS ball seems quite balanced at the top. No one
dominant team if you exclude Fairfield which is primarily dominant
because of Hollowell.

See ya on the dirt....

Bruce

Bruce-
Yeah the johnson tournament was jacked up. Yes Oak Ridge played well
but so did other teams. Teams that go 5-0 ended up lower than teams
that went 3-2. What's up with that. What is wrong with this picture. I
was very dissapointed in this tournament.By the way what school will we
see Ashleigh at next year.

Careful Bruce, your dating yourself. I'm old enough to know who the
Shadow is! My magic 8-Ball says: Division I, CAL.
