The History of Marine Corps Enlisted Rank!

For those of you interested in the history of enlisted rank -- chevrons,
insignia, etc. -- in the Marine Corps, I have posted online on my
website, four separate webpages relating to this subject, as follows:

1. The Lance Corporal Rank

2. The Rank of Gunnery Sergeant

3. Old Corps Enlisted Rank 1798-1958

4. Marine Enlisted Rank -- 1959 to present.

There is only one photo of these ranks, that is for the 1898 rank of
Gunnery Sergeant showing the chevron of three up, three down, with the
EGA + crossed rifle and naval gun--yes, all that!!!

I am still looking for charts, photos, etc. of the old ranks, and I will
post them online as soon as I find them; in the meantime, you will find
that each grade/rank is described in detail on the webpage.
