Subject: Important Deja Communities Notice

Dear Mark,

As you may have heard, Deja.com will be shutting down the Deja
Communities service. We're focusing on our core competencies and
cannot give Deja Communities the attention and support they deserve.
The shut down date has been moved back to September 25, 2000 to give
you more time to move to a new community.

After the shutdown of Deja Communities, you'll no longer be able to
access your Community pages and content, except for the Community
Announcements and discussion forums. If you've subscribed to a forum,
then you'll be able to access that forum from your My Deja account
(http://www.deja.com/my/pr.xp). Whether you've subscribed or not, you
can always use the Power Search in our Usenet Discussion Service
(http://www.deja.com/usenet) to find your forum.

You'll still be able to publish personal-use Web pages and maintain a
calendar from your My Deja account.

Your Community's Founder may have already notified you that your
community was moving to another service. If not, you can look for
alternative communities at:
http://dir.yahoo.com/Society_and_Culture/Cultures_and_Groups/Cybercultur
e/Virtual_Communities/

If you have any questions, please visit
http://www.deja.com/info/communities_exit.shtml for answers to
Frequently Asked Questions.

We hope you'll continue to find Deja.com a useful Web site and invite
you to try our comparison shopping service at http://www.deja.com.

Sincerely,

The Deja.com Team
