When Are the Emmys?

I'm going out on a limb here, just gonna go right for it! I am in such
a Carole Kinda mood, why not? I am predicting that Freedom Song will
win its class at the Emmys. Been listening to that again, and nothin'
touches that. It is fabulous. Any of you list queens also award show
queens? Aren't the Emmys in Sept?

Hey Mare,

Hate to disappoint you, but I think she just lost. They just today
announced the Emmy Award winners in the "creative-arts" categories
(which they give out before the main awards in September).

I immediately tore through the newspaper hoping to find Carole's name,
but, alas, what I see under the "Music and Lyrics" category is "Up to
You" for some Nickelodian show.

Remember, dear, this is TV, don't expect too much in the way of class.
Perhaps "Freedom Song" just got lost in the shuffle. I'm not sure how
well the show did in the ratings and these awards do tend to be a
popularity contest.
